BrokerWare Release Notes 08/06/2026
New Features & Enhancements
In Transit - Zero Charges/Margin
- Updated the filter name from "Zero Revenue" to "Zero Charges/Margin" on the dashboard.
Linear Feet warning
- Updated the error message displayed when posting to a loadboard with missing or invalid linear feet measurements in Edit Commodity.
Staff Notifications
- Added a "Shipments assigned to me" internal notification preference under Staff Profile > Notification Preferences.
- This will generate an internal system notification (bell icon) whenever a shipment's "Assigned To" field is set or updated to a user's account when this notification is enabled.
Accessorials - Container Freight
- Created static accessorial options for Container Freight Station Pickup and Container Freight Station Delivery.
BOL Template 2
- New BOL template layout available; this will have limited customizations. Please reach out to support to enable this BOL template.
- BOL Template 1 vs BOL Template 2
Rating Codes
- Re-enabled the ability to use rating codes for accessorials, controlled via the global client setting "Enable Accessorial Rating Codes."
- Added explanatory documentation/disclaimer in the setting UI warning users that enabling this feature may cause duplicate accessorial rating if integrated platforms (e.g., Shiplify) or manual user entries add duplicate codes.
- Auto-Capitalization: Input in the Rating Code field now automatically converts text to uppercase while typing.
- Audit Trail Enhancement: The View Notes section for accessorials now logs specific details whenever a Rating Code is added, modified, or removed.
Shipment Notes
- Pickup and delivery date/time changes made within the Dispatch modal are now logged directly into Shipment Notes. Previously, these changes were only recorded in the appointment change log.
System Defaults
- Reorganized system defaults into categorized tabs, including a dedicated ALL tab to easily view all defaults in one place.
- Introduced a search bar to quickly filter and find specific system default settings.
Report Builder
- Added a new Email Customization tab within Report Builder reports, allowing users to define a custom subject line and email body message.
- Custom subject and body settings apply to emails sent automatically via a schedule as well as manually using the Send Email Now feature.
- If no custom email subject or message body is configured for a report, the system will default to sending the standard subject line and email behavior without disruption.
- Added AR Due Date and AP Due Date filter options to the Invoice columns in Report Builder.
CSR Layout (Workflows)
- Conditional CSR Type Display:
- The CSR type/sub-account selection section now dynamically appears only when "Sub account" is selected and remains hidden for primary accounts.
- Shipping vs. Billing Selection: Replaced the previous Yes/No prompt for sub-accounts with explicit options:
- Shipping Location: Reuses the primary/master account’s billing contact, dunning details, and account number. Bypasses the CSR review process for automatic creation and activation.
- New Billing Location: Creates a sub-account with its own billing contact and account number. Follows the complete CSR workflow (credit review, Oracle account creation, credit limit setup).
LCR Notes
- Updated UI labels and navigation links from "LCR Notes" to "Rating Engine Notes" across the platform (including the Carrier Profile page and LCR screens) to provide clearer terminology.
Truckload Insurance
- Added an "Add Insurance" button next to the shipment value field within the Edit Commodities screen on Truckload shipment profiles.
- Clicking "Add Insurance" automatically adds the INSU accessorial line item and calculates/populates the insurance quote.
- Adjusts and updates the total billed amount for the customer accordingly.
- Allows insurance addition up until the load status reaches Dispatched.
Unbilled Report
- Added a new Carrier Name column to both the frontend Unbilled Report and scheduled reports (in addition to the existing SCAC value).
Customer Preference - "Add New Quote Button to Shipment Profile"
- Added a new Customer Preference setting called "Add New Quote Button to Shipment Profile. When enabled, logged-in customers navigating a shipment profile can use the "Go To" dropdown to quickly jump to the short form quote.
- Integrated the new "Go To" button with Naming Management settings.
LCR - Email Quotes
- Added a dedicated button within the "Email Quotes" workflow allowing users to download a PDF report containing carrier costs for internal reference.
- Ensured carrier cost data remains strictly internal and is excluded from both standard "Download PDF" exports and customer-bound quote emails.
Transit Time Logic for Carriers without API Transit Days
- Introduced a configurable Transit Time Logic module in BrokerWare, allowing administrators to define custom transit days and buffer days for carriers that do not return estimated transit times through their APIs.
- Custom Zone & Zip Management: Create geographic zones and assign zip codes or zip ranges per carrier to define origin and destination pairs.
- Transit Matrix Configuration: Set up custom transit days between specific zone pairs via manual entry or bulk Excel file upload (ZipZones and ZoneTransits template).
- Default Transit Days & Padding Buffer:
- Default Fallback: Assign default transit days for unmapped lanes.
- Carrier Buffer: Configurable padding days added universally across mapped lanes, fallback defaults, or live carrier API transit times.
- Rating Integration & Delivery Date Calculation: Automatically applies configured transit data during rating and calculates business-day delivery estimates (skipping weekends).
- Audit Tracking: Changes to carrier transit configurations, lane matrix updates, and file uploads are logged as carrier notes for full auditing.
- Carrier Transit Times (estimated transit and delivery dates)
Block Guaranteed Rates from UI on Overlength
- To align with carrier handling requirements for overlength freight, BrokerWare can now prevent users from selecting or booking Guaranteed Rates for shipments containing overlength items.
- The restriction behavior operates based on customer preference settings and applies consistently across UI rate selection views. The customer preference is called "Hide Guaranteed Rates When Any Item Dimension ≥ (inches)"
- Guaranteed Rate Restriction: Guaranteed Rates are hidden in the UI during rating whenever any shipment item has a length of 96 inches or greater (or based on the configured customer preference length threshold).
Thermal Label Enhancement
- Added two per-customer options under Customer Preferences to print the consignee contact name on thermal labels and to enlarge the Shipment Info section. Both options are off by default and apply strictly to default thermal labels.
Advanced Shipment Booking - Strict Pickup Dates
- Introduced a new global setting, Advanced Shipment Booking - Strict Pickup Dates, to enforce strict pickup date validation for LTL shipments.
- When enabled, if an undispatched LTL shipment's pickup date is modified, users are required to re-run rates (cannot be bypassed).
- Booking and dispatching from the shipment profile will throw a popup prompting the user to update the pickup date if it is in the past.
- When running rates with a past pickup date, the system automatically defaults the pickup date to today's date and recalculates the estimated delivery date based on transit time.
Customer Preferences
- Reorganized the preferences window into seven category tabs with a search box to jump directly to any setting, with no changes to the settings themselves.
Staff Notifications
- Added an automated internal notification called "Carrier Estimated Delivery Date Updated via EDI/API" for staff. This provides operational visibility for automated EDD changes, preventing shipments from being incorrectly treated or flagged as late.
Package Unit Type
- Added Drums and Pails as an available option in the informational package/unit type dropdown menu.
EDI 204 Outbound
- Updated the outbound EDI 204 transaction files sent to dynamically map the shipment's Bill of Lading (BOL) number into the L11* BM segment structure.
Tracking Report
- Added a new Miles column to both the Customer Tracking page and Master Tracking (Master Account) page shipment tables, allowing users to view shipment mileage directly without opening shipment details.
EDI 210 Custom Field Mapping
- Updated the EDI 210 template mapping and generator interface to allow custom reference fields on the shipment screen's Reference Information tile to split comma-separated values into individual segments in EDI 210 file outputs.
- Enabled custom reference fields (such as customer custom ref fields) to parse comma-separated lists into individual L11 or N9 segments matching customer specifications.
- Added the ability to save EDI 210 template changes made on a master customer account directly to its selected sub-accounts.
- Added confirmation feedback upon saving template updates and ensured proper visibility of template sync options on master vs. sub-account setups.
Master Account Webhooks
- Webhook URLs for new documents and shipment status changes can now be configured at the master account level in addition to individual customer accounts.
- Any sub-customer without a dedicated webhook URL automatically inherits the master account's URL. Sub-customer URLs still take priority when defined.
- Every webhook delivery now includes CustomerId, CustomerName, and CustomerCode to help receivers differentiate events across multiple customers.
Carrier API Accuracy Dashboard
- Added an admin dashboard providing real-time visibility into carrier API success and failure rates to eliminate operational blockers.
- Filters reports by carrier, division, and group, with UI reference drawn from the profitability report page.
Partner Integrations
DAT Integration
- Standardized session token authentication across all DAT integrations (Loadboard Posting, DAT Search, RateView, and Contributions).
- System now reuses a single cached accessToken instead of re-authenticating for every posting action (create, edit, delete).
- Linear Feet Validation: Added clearer user error messages when Linear Feet is missing or exceeds DAT limits. Banner now explicitly prompts: "Linear Feet value must be greater than 0."
Parade
- Added the Priority field and value to the display_metadata payload in Parade load posting webhooks (BuildAvailableLoadPayload).
Highway
- System now automatically records an entry in the Carrier Notes section whenever carrier factoring details (e.g., Factor Name, Address, or Assignment of Proceeds) are updated through the Highway integration.
Carrier Integrations
Fresh X
- Updated the carrier logos for Fresh X carriers within the TMS to ensure logos meet proper resolution and image display standards instead of dynamically fetching lower-resolution assets.
Oak Harbor Freight Lines
- Added transit times to the LCR.
Spee-Dee
- Updated the SpeeDee integration to map line item package types based on shipment mode instead of defaulting all items to pallets.
- LTL Shipments: Pallet items map to PALLET; cartons and other non-pallet types map to NONPALLETIZED.
- Parcel Shipments: Boxes map to BOX; other items map to UNBOXED (HazMat mapped to ANY_SIZE_BOX_HZ / UNBOX_HZ). Service level maps to PACKAGE_PARCEL.
- Multi-Piece Pallets: Split per piece (including Skids, Mixed Pallets, and Gaylords) so the piece count matches accurately.
Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery
- Integrated Metropolitan’s dedicated Transit Time API into the shipment and rating workflow, allowing transit days and estimated delivery times to be queried and retrieved independently from standard rate requests.
Dohrn Transfer
- Mapped Construction Site Pickup and Delivery accessorials to Dohrn Transfer Company's Limited Access codes to ensure accurate rate quoting when construction site accessorials are selected.
All Freight Trucking
- Added carrier's logo (SCAC: AFKI) into the system so it renders within the LCR.
Pilot Freight
- Implemented dynamic transit time calculations for the Pilot integration based directly on the dates returned by the Rating API rather than relying on a static transit table.
Estes Express
- Implemented qualification checks for Estes volume rates to prevent volume options from returning when a shipment fails to meet carrier volume thresholds.
SAIA
- Implemented qualification checks for SAIA volume rates to prevent volume options from returning when a shipment fails to meet carrier volume thresholds.
Fort Transportation
- Configured support for both FTSC and FORT SCAC codes to match against Fort Transportation shipments when processing inbound EDI 210 invoice files.
CH Robinson
- Resolved an issue where multi-stop shipment details were omitted when e-dispatching loads to CH Robinson. Previously, intermediate stop information was missing from the payload, sending only the origin and final destination. All stop locations and sequence details are now accurately included during dispatch.
Bug Fixes
Southeastern Freight Lines
- Removed Southeastern Freight Lines Volume as a standalone carrier entry from the Carrier Integrations page across all systems, as its functionality has been consolidated into the standard Southeastern Freight Lines setup toggle.
Cross Country Freight Services
- Fixed an issue where Cross Country tracking updates remained stuck at prior statuses in the TMS due to unrecognized API description strings defaulting to "Undefined".
- Fixed a defect that misreported genuinely delivered CCFS loads as "Delayed," ensuring accurate delivered and exception status updates.
Old Dominion Freight Lines
- Fixed tracking status logic to handle non-chronological carrier events and ensure delivered loads resolve correctly to "Delivered."
R&L Carriers
- Fixed an issue where tracking events with missing time values were discarded, causing loads to remain stuck in outdated statuses. Shipments now update correctly even when timestamp time values are omitted by the carrier.
TForce Freight
- Fixed an issue where rating requests for TForce Freight/TForce Volume failed with a 400 Bad Request error due to carrier credential authentication failures and improper API error handling.
Forward Air
- Fixed an issue where Guaranteed Rates were displaying in the Standard Rates section of the LCR.
A. Duie Pyle
- Fixed an issue where the Residential Pickup accessorial selected in the TMS was not mapping to A. Duie Pyle's API parameter, causing rate requests to return without residential pickup charges in the LCR.
Double D Express
- Fixed an issue where API tracking updates for Double D Express were overwriting shipment PRO numbers with incorrect carrier internal IDs and saving incorrect delivery dates upon booking. Updates now preserve the actual PRO number and record accurate delivery dates.
TForce Worldwide
- Fixed an issue where TForce Worldwide (TFWW) carrier options were returning $0 or failing to map charges for Limited Access Delivery and Excessive Length accessorials.
Priority One
- Fixed a carrier cost discrepancy in Lowest Cost Rating (LCR) for Roadrunner Transportation Systems via Priority1, where API-returned costs were mismatching calculated TMS costs due to non-stackable item height adjustments and excessive length charge mapping.
CH Robinson
- Fixed an issue where total shipment weight in Truckload rate requests was incorrectly multiplied by the pallet count, generating an inflated actualWeight and causing carrier rejections.
Invoice Preferences
- Fixed issue where Non-Login customer contacts were not appearing in the "Additional Accounting Contacts" drop down.
Customer Alerts
- Fixed issue where Customer Alerts were not appearing for master account users.
- Master account users assigned to sub-accounts will now properly see Customer Alerts when configured and enabled for those sub-accounts (such as receiving warning alerts when updating a load to quoted or booked status).
Public Shipper Notes
- Fixed issue where users could not remove or clear Public Notes on a shipment profile page.
Edit Commodity - Is Palletized
- Fixed an issue where adding or updating commodity lines on a shipment profile automatically checked the Palletized option. The system no longer auto-toggles this setting, preventing incorrect pallet counts when handling mixed commodity types (e.g., crates or skids).
Customer Address Book
- Fixed an issue where the error message "Failed to populate shipper address" appeared when creating a shipment in full form, even when a default shipper address was set. The default shipper address now populates cleanly without triggering error notifications.
Pickup Confirmation Email
- Fixed an issue where pickup confirmation emails now reflect the updated delivery window date/time from the shipping and receiving section, rather than the original estimated delivery date.
General Insurance - Dispatch
- Fixed an issue where carrier General Liability insurance warnings (for expired or insufficient coverage) failed to display during the final shipment dispatch stage.
General Insurance - Dispatch
- Fixed an issue where enabling the "Use Single Limited Access Accessorial" default prevented Limited Access accessorials from appearing in searches when set to "No" for "Show on Full & Short Forms." Users can now search for and select these accessorials as expected, displaying the mapped sub-accessorial dropdown upon selection.
Invoice Printing
- Fixed an issue where image-based Proof of Delivery (POD) and Bill of Lading (BOL) attachments (.png, .jpg, .jpeg) were silently omitted or resulted in a "POD not found" error when generating merged invoice PDFs across all delivery methods.
Shipment Updater
- Fixed an issue where leaving temperature fields blank on the Shipment Updater template incorrectly defaulted and uploaded values as 0-0. Empty temperature cells now leave existing shipment temperature fields untouched, updating temperature ranges only when explicit values are provided.
Velocity View
- Added an anonymous tracking endpoint to resolve issues where custom subdomain URLs failed to render the shipment route map and detailed tracking updates due to authentication requirements on the tracking controller.
Bazaar
- Fixed an issue where shipments booked through the Bazaar with Guaranteed service levels were failing to display the specific "Service Type" on the Buyer’s BOL.
Accessorial Markups
- Fixed an issue where accessorial charges were failing to fall back down the configuration hierarchy when no accessorial markup was defined at the Tariff level. If a higher-level markup is missing (such as at the Tariff level), the system seamlessly falls back to lower levels (Carrier, Customer, or Global) instead of calculating an incorrect rate or failing to resolve.
Report Builder
- Fixed an issue where the container number field displayed blank values in the Report Builder even when a container number was present on the shipment.
