BrokerWare System Updates

System Updates

BrokerWare Release Notes 08/20/2026

New Features & Enhancements

Tariff Lane Updates

  • Added a dropdown filter on the Tariff Lanes page allowing users to view lanes by status (Active, Expired, or Show All). Defaults to active/unexpired lanes.
  • Moved the Export button to the right side of the header for UI consistency across pages.
  • Updated the system error when attempting to delete a lane used on a shipment. The message now clearly instructs users: "This lane has been used on a load and cannot be deleted. Please set an expiration date to disable the lane."

ShipMind Enhancements

  • New Auto-Invoicing Option: Added an "Invoice and Send via Email" option in both global and customer-specific ShipMind setups.
  • Email Preference Gating: Invoices are only sent via email if the customer's invoice preference is explicitly set to email.
  • POD & BOL Document Requirements:
    • Added conditional requirements for Proof of Delivery (POD) and Bill of Lading (BOL).
    • If selected, invoices will only be generated and emailed once the required POD and/or BOL documents are uploaded to the shipment.
    • ShipMind scans delivered shipments meeting these criteria every 4 hours (for loads delivered within the last 30 days).
  • Auto Invoicing with BOL and POD

OnTime Reporting

  • Added a new global default setting for OnTime to hide appointment-related fields from customer view across shipment interfaces called "Hide appointment fields from customers".
  • When enabled (true), hides FCFS/APPT Required and APPT LOG fields on customer logins across full forms, short forms, and shipment profiles.

Customer-Level Bill To Address Restrictions

  • Introduced customer-specific bill-to address management to prevent cross-account billing errors and restrict station access to global remit-to addresses.
    • Customer Tools: Added a dedicated bill-to management tool within customer profiles to create and manage customer-specific bill-to addresses (CSP).
    • Preference Configuration: Added an "Only Customer Specific" option to the Allow Customer View/Edit Bill To preference dropdown.
    • Load-Level Filtering: Restricted load editing to display only the bill-to addresses associated with that customer's level when enabled.
    • Granular Options & Creation: Added dropdown selectors for toggling between global and customer-specific lists, along with options to specify save location (Global vs. CSP) when creating new entries.
    • Staff Permissions: Added new staff permissions for customer bill-to visibility to ensure existing staff access remains uninterrupted without exposing global lists.

Customer Address Book - Shipping Location Assignment

  • Added staff permission ("Assign Customer Shipping Address") allowing operations and authorized staff users to select and set a shipping location on customer address book entries.
  • Enforced validation so only one address per customer can be flagged as the shipping location. Selecting a new shipping address displays a warning and automatically unsets the flag on the previously designated address.

Simplified EDI 210 Matching

  • Updated the EDI 210 matching engine to streamline invoice auto-matching and route exceptions efficiently to AP Audit, reducing manual intervention and delays in AP processing. This is controlled in the new global default called "Use Simplified EDI 210 PRO/SCAC Matching".
  • Primary Matching Criteria: Invoices now auto-match strictly based on PRO Number and Carrier/Vendor SCAC.
  • Removed Dependency: Matching no longer relies on invoice dates, amount variances, delivery dates, or other supplemental fields.
  • Expanded Load Status Support: Matching now succeeds across load lifecycle statuses, including In Transit, Delivered, and Completed.
  • Exact duplicate invoices (matching Invoice Number, SCAC, and Amount) are automatically deleted.
  • Secondary/supplemental invoices attach to the matched load and route to AP Audit for variance evaluation.
  • EDI invoices with Zero ($0) or Negative amounts are strictly rejected/prevented from import.

EDI 210 Import Processor

  • Updated the EDI 210 import logic to allow ingestion of invoices containing non-critical missing values (such as delivery dates or missing invoice dates), preventing unnecessary file rejections and reducing AP workflow delays.
  • Lenient Ingestion: Invoices now successfully import as long as core critical fields are present:
    • Carrier/Vendor (SCAC)
    • PRO Number
    • Invoice Amount / Charge Amount
  • Non-Critical Handling: Invoices missing non-critical qualifiers or values (e.g., Delivery Date, Invoice Date) are ingested for downstream processing rather than being rejected during initial file processing. Default logic (e.g., defaulting missing invoice dates to the current date) applies where required.
  • Validation & Error Logging: Invoices missing core required fields (SCAC, PRO, or Charge Amount) will continue to fail validation and trigger existing support notifications.

AP Audit (Workflows)

  • Removed the Reject button from the AP Audit page for users who do not possess Admin or Manager permissions.
  • Users can now specify whether an edited Fuel value is applied as a Flat amount or a Percent directly within the AP Audit screen.
    • Added a dropdown (Flat / Percent) directly below the existing Fuel text field when editing Fuel accessorials.

Historical Fuel Rating (AP Audit - Workflows)

  • New global default added called "Always Save Historical Fuel On Schedule Type Update". When enabled, rerating historical shipments within the AP Audit screen (Workflows enabled), fuel surcharges are now calculated using the shipment’s actual pickup date and stored historical fuel index values, rather than relying on current-day fuel rates returned by carrier APIs.
  • Historical Fuel Index Lookup:
    • AP Audit rerate logic now checks the load's pickup date against stored historical fuel schedule ranges.
    • If the pickup date falls within a historical range and the carrier is assigned to that schedule, the historical fuel rate is applied.
    • If the pickup date is outside the historical range or is the current day, it defaults to the carrier's live API return rate (or custom tariff default).
  • Carrier Schedule Binding (Workflow): You can now bind specific XML/API carriers to a fuel schedule (each carrier belongs to one schedule). This will only work when the Workflow default is enabled.

Dispute Log & AP Audit (Workflows)

  • Added new columns for both Dispute Log and AP Audit pages:
    • Note: Displays the most recent dispute comment along with its date and author, with an option to click and view all historical notes.
    • Note Date: Date of last Dispute note entered.
    • Note By: Indicates the user who entered the last Dispute type note.

Accessorial Based Carrier Filtering

  • Enhanced lane matching logic within LCR (Least Cost Routing) to automatically filter out carriers when requested accessorials are incompatible with their capabilities or tariff rules.
  • Carrier Capability Filtering: LCR results now automatically exclude carriers that do not support selected accessorials.
  • Flexible Configuration:
    • Service Lane Level: Exclude specific accessorials directly within individual service lanes.
    • Tariff Level: Add excluded accessorials at the carrier tariff level, blocking rating across all lanes when requested via API.
  • Accessorial Based Carrier Filtering in LCR

Customer Preference - BOL Document Template

  • Added a customer-level preference setting that allows customer profiles to default to the standard Bill of Lading (BOL) template or use the exclusive, limited customization template.
  • This setting is available for clients with Template 2 set via Global Defaults as it does require access to ensure proper configuration of company details and Terms & Conditions URLs.

Custom Favicon Upload

  • Added the ability for users/tenants to upload a custom favicon directly within System Style settings to customize application branding.

Webhook URL For Status Changes

  • Status change webhooks (/webhook/status) were intermittently failing to dispatch when loads were updated, particularly during initial load creation and for specific status codes:
    • QO (Quoted)
    • BO (Booked)
    • CA (Cancelled)
  • Resolved webhook dispatching paths to ensure event notifications fire consistently across all load lifecycle updates, including initial creation and early-stage status transitions.

Stop to Terminal Mileage Calculation

  • When both a mileage integration and CarrierConnectXL are active, terminal mileage calculations are now available for both staff and customer views:
    • Shipment Profile: Clicking "Show Terminal Address" displays calculated mileage to the terminal (Shipper to Terminal and Consignee to Terminal).
    • Least Cost Carrier / LCR: Consignee-to-terminal mileage is displayed next to the terminal info icon upon clicking, optimizing page load times by fetching data on demand.
  • Stop to Terminal Mileage Calculation

Partner Integrations

Falvey

  • Automatically removes and hides the generated insurance certificate document from the Documents section if insurance coverage is cancelled or removed after dispatch.
  • Added instructional helper text in the integration setup modal detailing required shipment codes (LTL, FTL, Air, Ocean, Parcel) and contact information for Falvey setup support.

TriumphPay

  • Added a new TP Audit report page under the Accounting menu when the TriumphPay Audit integration is enabled. This can be found under the Accounting dropdown menu.
    • Features dedicated views for Matches (AP items aligned with TriumphPay) and Mismatches (discrepancies where TriumphPay amounts differ from TMS carrier cost, defaulting to mismatches for immediate attention).
    • Audit Logging: Logs all match and mismatch records in a searchable, paginated grid with customizable sorting and filtering options.

Triumph Rate Intelligence

  • Enhanced error messaging for Triumph Rate Intelligence integration.
    • If a tariff uses the cost basis value "Base Rate Triumph Rate Intelligence" but the actual integration is disabled, the updated error message in the LCR will read "The Triumph Rate Intelligence integration is currently disabled. Please re-enable in order for the tariff to rate."

Highway - Carrier Factor Preference

  • Added a new setting to the Highway integration configuration page called "Import Carrier Factor (New Status Only)."
    • When disabled, it prevents carrier factor details from being imported during new carrier creation, allowing for manual factor handling.

Shiplify

  • Added a new configuration setting, "Show Shiplify Added on Customer Portal," under the Shiplify integration configuration settings.
    • When enabled ("Yes"), Shiplify-added accessorials now explicitly display on the Least Cost Routing (LCR) table view for customers across all applicable carriers, rather than only in the cost breakdown view.
  • Updated Lift Gate auto-apply logic so that either No Dock Access OR No Forklift Access independently triggers the Lift Gate accessory (evaluating attributes individually rather than requiring both to be absent). Confidence tier requirements still apply to each attribute, as do results that become excluded.
  • Added automated note stamps to record when Shiplify auto-apply preferences are enabled or disabled, as well as changes to minimum confidence tier dropdown selections (including before and after values). Extended audit note coverage across both new and existing Shiplify settings.
  • Added granular confidence tier settings under the Shiplify customer preferences Integrations tab for each Shiplify auto-apply preference, eliminating hardcoded confidence requirements. Operations teams can now individually adjust tiers per customer to balance missing lift gates against unintended additions without requiring code releases.

Vooma

  • Shipment webhook payloads pushed to Vooma now include driver assignment details (DriverName, DriverType, DriverCell) nested within each ShipmentCarrier entry.
  • Added top-level dispatcher contact information (Name, Email, Phone) to outbound Vooma shipment payloads, sourced from the load's DispatchedBy details.
  • Enhanced visibility for Vooma integrations, eliminates manual data lookup, and supports downstream operational workflows with accurate contact and assignment details.

Oracle

  • Updated the Accounts Receivable (AR) API integration with Oracle so that the MG Pri Reference field (Attribute 4) is populated with the Transactional BOL number to support internal reporting needs.

Carrier Integrations

Unified Logistix Group (ULG)

  • Included the LTL (middle-mile) carrier’s tracking URL in the order_notes payload (POST /api/v2/order) to give dispatchers direct visibility into active freight tracking status.
  • Added population of the brand field in the order payload with the retailer or customer name, allowing inbound orders to be correctly attributed to the appropriate customer or brand.

Forward Air

  • Integrated support for three new Forward Air LTL delivery accessorials in rating requests and E-Dispatch responses:
    • DR1 – Debris Removal 1 (Shrink wrap and skid only, up to two skids)
    • DR2 – Debris Removal 2 (Cardboard, shrink wrap, and skid only, up to two skids)
    • UNP – Unpack Delivery (Up to two skids; excludes crates)

Hub Group

  • Updated Hub Group dispatch requests to pass the customer's PO number in primaryReference (Hub Group's "PO #" field) instead of the quote number. Quote numbers are no longer sent on Hub Group orders as they are not required on the Bill of Lading (BOL). Load number references remain unaffected.

Bug Fixes

Estes Express

  • Fixed an issue where PRO numbers failed to update automatically from the BOL/PUR lookup. With this fix, PRO numbers are automatically captured, allowing shipments to seamlessly transition to In Transit status and process live tracking updates.
  • Resolved an issue where pickup API requests for guaranteed ESTES shipments were missing the required expeditedCode: "G" flag.

AAA Cooper

  • Fixed an issue where E-Dispatches were receiving a 400 Bad Request error.
  • Fixed an issue where shipments tracked remained in Dispatched status instead of advancing to In Transit after being picked up and placed at the origin terminal. Tracking now correctly maps AACT's "At Origin Terminal" status, ensuring load status updates accurately in the TMS immediately following shipper pickup.

XPO Logistics

  • Resolved an issue where XPO Logistics pickup requests (E-Dispatch) failed to include the proper guaranteed service indicators for booked guaranteed shipments.

SpeeDee Delivery

  • Resolved an issue where rating and E-Dispatching for SpeeDee LTL failed with a 400 error ("invalid HAZMAT field value") when shipments contained hazardous material line items. SpeeDee LTL rating and dispatch workflows now properly accept hazmat values and complete without errors.

AM Home Delivery

  • Resolved an issue where AM Home Delivery shipments stalled in the "Dispatched" status instead of updating automatically in the TMS when picked up or in a consolidation center. Missing carrier status mappings have been added to ensure accurate, real-time tracking updates.

Oak Harbor Freight Lines

  • Resolved an issue where Delivery Receipts / Proofs of Delivery (POD) for Oak Harbor Freight were not automatically fetching into delivered shipments. Corrected document type mapping by mapping Proof of Delivery to the proper DR document code, ensuring POD e-documents pull consistently alongside existing Bills of Lading and Weight Inspection certificates under the shipment's Documents tab.

Source Capacity

  • Fixed ZIP code radius searches for Canadian postal codes across lane history and shipment searching.
  • Imported comprehensive Canadian postal code data with latitude/longitude coordinates and updated geography location mappings.

Bazaar

  • Fixed an issue where seller-updated accessorial charges were not applying the buyer's configured markup upon update.

DAT Loadboard

  • Fixed an issue where shipment product descriptions were not populating in the commodity section when posting loads to the DAT Loadboard. Product descriptions are now properly included under freight commodity details.

Truckstop

  • Resolved a unit mismatch so the length value is submitted to the Truckstop API in feet without double conversion.

Mass Rater

  • Resolved an issue where fuel surcharges were not populating in Mass Rater results for custom tariffs with "Fuel - Required" enabled on the Accessorial tab. Fuel charges now correctly pull and render for applicable loads during mass rating, matching individual shipment rating behavior.

Full Form - Delivery Date Validation

  • Implemented validation in the full shipment form to ensure the Delivery Date / Deliver By Date cannot be set earlier than the Pickup Date.

MacroPoint

  • Resolved a MacroPoint timezone discrepancy in the Tracking modal's Stops section to ensure timestamps consistently align with Locations data.

System Defaults

  • Updated the search results dropdown under the "Persian Yonder" theme to use an opaque background (light gray/white) instead of transparent, ensuring search results remain readable.
  • Adjusted search highlight and text colors across dark themes to prevent illegible dark-on-dark contrast during hover/selection.

Customer Address Book

  • Resolved an issue where checking "Save to address book" failed to create a new address entry when the company name already existed. The system now allows saving new address entries with existing company names, provided key identifying details (such as contact name, address line, suite, or notes) are unique.

Insurance - Equipment Required

  • Resolved an issue where LTL shipments with insurance were blocked from moving to "Dispatched" status due to missing equipment types when the "Hide Driver and Equipment Type" setting was enabled. The system now defaults the equipment type to Van to ensure seamless dispatch processing.

Highway

  • Resolved an issue where loads were incorrectly auto-posting to Highway (TFX/Loadlock) even when auto-posting was explicitly disabled, or when loads were moved back to Quote status.
    • Auto-Posting Enforcement: Ensured customer profile settings that disable auto-posting correctly block initial load postings while still allowing manual postings and subsequent status updates.
    • Quote Status Synchronization: Updated status handling so that moving a shipment back to Quote status automatically sends a request to remove the corresponding active load posting from Highway.

Set PRO Number as Load Number for Truckload Mode

  • When the global setting Set PRO Number as Load Number for Truckload Mode was enabled, attaching a carrier to a Truckload shipment—specifically via the Mark Delivered and Invoiced action or Exact Duplicate flow—failed to automatically populate a blank PRO field with the load number.
    • Fixed the carrier attachment and billing logic so that whenever a carrier is assigned to a Truckload-mode shipment (including Truckload, RF-TL, and CC-TL), the PRO number automatically defaults to the assigned load number if the PRO field is left blank. Manually entered PRO numbers will remain unchanged.

AP Audit (Workflows)

  • Fixed an issue in the AP Invoice Audit screen where secondary vendor invoices were incorrectly populating carrier quote data from the primary carrier. The AP Audit Carrier Quote panel now correctly opens blank for secondary vendor invoices, allowing users to manually enter the carrier quote details prior to matching and approving the invoice.

Broker Private Notes

  • Fixed an issue where Broker Private Notes attached to default shipper/consignee addresses in the customer address book were omitted when a customer user created a load. Broker Private Notes are now automatically re-fetched and preserved in the saved load record so staff users can view them upon opening the load, but still remain hidden from customer users.

TriumphPay

  • Resolved an issue where updating an invoice's payment date from the TMS recalculated and sent TriumphPay's term fee back as an additional payor adjustment, preventing double QuickPay fee deductions and ensuring accurate carrier payment amounts.

Invoices

  • Fixed an issue where discount items on customer invoices were not displaying as negative line-item amounts, ensuring calculations and total balances reflect deductions accurately. Formatted currency figures to maintain standard two-decimal place precision.
