BrokerWare Release Notes 09/17/2026
New Features & Enhancements
EDI Setup Notes
- Added an Audit Log feature to capture an activity log for EDI setup creations, modifications, and deletions.
- Tracks who made the changes and what specific updates were made (including Date, Action, Changed By, and Details). Sensitive credentials remain masked for security.
Shipment Notes - Invoice Sent Email
- Enhanced the audit logging functionality on the Shipment Notes page when sending invoices via email from the Invoice Printing screen.
- Recipient Email Tracking: Audit log entries now include the recipient's email address using the format: Invoice Sent via Email <recipient_email_address>.
- Added additional invoice metadata to the generated note, including:
- Invoice Number
- Invoice Amount
- Documents/File names attached to the email
- Invoice Created By details
ClientSuperAdmin
- Users with the ClientSuperAdmin role can now edit the WorldTrak Number field on the Customer Profile → Third Party Integration screen.
- This is based on Workflows system.
Dispatch Document
- Added the Delivery Number reference field to the dispatch sheet PDF when populated on the shipment profile.
Shipment Profile
- Added direct Charge Summary access from the Go To dropdown when in the shipment notes. Users can now navigate to the Charge Summary for a specific load directly from the Shipment Notes screen, eliminating the need to return to the Shipment Profile page first.
CSR (Workflows)
- Introduced a mandatory Denial Reason text box to the Customer Service Request (CSR) denial workflow to enhance audit clarity and prevent unexplained rejections.
- Attempting to deny a CSR now prompts a mandatory popup modal requiring users to enter a reason before proceeding.
- The modal's Deny button remains disabled until text is entered (supports up to 3,000 characters). Clicking Cancel aborts the process without modifying the CSR status.
Sliding Scale - Tariffs
- Extended tariff sliding scale functionality to include third-party carrier providers (e.g., Echo Global Logistics, BlueGrace, UniShipper, Bazaar).
- Tariff sliding scales now apply correctly to selected provider carriers in addition to direct carriers. The Sliding Scale markup options are visible and configurable within provider tariff profiles.
EDI Setup
- Enabled column resizing in the EDI Setup List grid. Users can now manually adjust and expand column widths to view complete details, such as full shipping and billing names, without truncation.
AP Audit (Workflows)
- Updated the AP Invoice screen functionality to allow adding, editing, and removing invoice adjustments on carrier quotes directly within the carrier invoice section.
- Added the Add Inv Adjustment hyperlink button to the carrier invoice section on the primary AP Invoice modal.
- Enabled instant backend saving for added, updated, or removed adjustments, removing the need for a secondary manual invoice save.
- Added ability to edit adjustment descriptions using free-text input and apply existing markup logic.
- Ensured all adjustment actions (add, edit, remove) automatically log detailed audit entries directly into Shipment Notes.
- Added a new column labeled Customer Rate (Bill) on the AP Audit screen, positioned directly between the Delivered Date and Carrier Rate columns to display customer-side charges.
- Added the Quote Number to the AP Audit list view screen.
- Added the Quote Number inside the AP Audit pop-up box on the carrier quote view.
- Modified the "Approve As Is" functionality so that it only bypasses invoice amount differences (price/rate variances). It will no longer bypass other audit reasons or missing data, such as missing Oracle customer info or tracking issues.
- Updated the AP Audit carrier-quote calculation to correctly handle CWT (hundredweight) rate qualifiers. The line-item weight is now converted to hundredweight ($\text{billable weight} = \text{line-item weight} \div 100$) before applying the per-hundredweight rate, rather than using full shipment weight.
Create Additional Invoice (Workflows)
- The Class field now automatically defaults to N/A during Additional Customer Invoice creation.
Global Search
- Enhanced the global top text search (the search input bar at the top of the page) to support direct lookups using additional reference values. Users can now search directly by:
- Delivery #
- Carrier Reference #
- Rate Quote (Quote Number)
Staff List
- Added a dedicated Email Address column to the Staff List "To Excel" export file, populated directly with each staff member's corresponding email address. The file will be exported as a (.xlsx) file type.
Customer Admin Login
- Introduced a new permission, Edit Reference Information After Dispatch, which allows authorized customer users to update shipment reference details (such as PO numbers) when a shipment is in Dispatched or In Transit status. This permission is available exclusively to customer users assigned the Admin role.
AR Approvals (Workflows)
- Added an Export to Excel button on the AR Approval screen to download current grid data into an .xlsx file.
Email Quote Two Decimal Places
- Quote emails can now format customer costs to 2 decimal places instead of 4, controlled by a global setting default. When enabled, email quote totals display with standard 2-decimal currency rounding.
Return Shipment
- When creating a return shipment from an original shipment, stop-specific accessorials now automatically flip to their counterpart (e.g., Residential Delivery becomes Residential Pickup, Liftgate Delivery becomes Liftgate Pickup).
Customer Tracking Report
- Updated the Customer Tracking Excel export to split combined pickup and delivery date/time data into separate, individual columns for improved sorting, filtering, and usability.
- Replaced single Pickup Date and Delivery Date columns with six dedicated columns:
- Pickup Date, Pickup Time From, Pickup Time To
- Delivery Date, Delivery Time From, Delivery Time To
- Replaced single Pickup Date and Delivery Date columns with six dedicated columns:
Lost Opportunity Reasons
- The Lost Opportunity Reasons enhancement allows users to track and report on why a lower-cost carrier rate was bypassed during quoting or booking on the LCR.
- Added a new Admin Tools page to create and maintain custom reason codes (similar to dispute cause types).
- Added a preference under Carriers & Routing named "Require Lost Opportunity Reason on LCR" (disabled by default).
- When enabled, selecting a non-lowest API carrier rate (Quote, Book, or Book & E-Dispatch) prompts a mandatory pop-up: "The lowest cost carrier was not selected. Please select the reason to proceed."
- Clicking OK saves the selection and rate to the load.
- Clicking Cancel closes the modal without saving.
- Updated the Lost Opportunity Report for staff and customer facing views to include a Lost Opportunity Reason column when the preference is active. This data is also included in Excel exports.
- Lost Opportunity Reasons
Report Builder
- Report authors can now select a preferred date format for individual Custom Reports.
- Choose between a Default option or specific date styles (MM/DD/YYYY, MM-DD-YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, DD/MM/YYYY) when creating or editing a Custom Report.
- The chosen date format applies universally across all output channels: on-screen viewing, Excel exports, and scheduled email deliveries.
- Existing reports left on the Default setting remain unchanged, ensuring no impact on existing client workflows or other custom reports.
Link Loads
- Users can now link loads that belong together, such as one customer order split into several shipments. Linked loads show on each other's shipment profile, so users can move between them in one click.
- Displays associated loads (load number, status, and PO number) on the shipment profile, allowing single-click navigation.
- Search and link related shipments by load number, PO number, or PRO number. Unlinking removes a load from its group without affecting other linked loads.
- Staff with Edit Shipments rights (or Manager/Admin) can link and unlink at any time. Customer users can do it if they have the Customer Edit Shipment permission.
- System Defaults:
- Enable Linked Loads (located in the Shipping & Booking tab) turns the feature on for the account. It is off by default.
- Show Linked Loads on Tracking Page is edited inside Enable Linked Loads and is also off by default. When on, the public shipment tracking page shows a Linked Loads row with clickable load numbers. Anyone with a tracking number for one of the loads can see the linked load numbers, so turn it on only if that is acceptable.
- Linked Loads - Shipment
Accessorial Fee Option - Per Pallet Flat Dollar
- Added support for setting a per-pallet flat dollar amount on accessorial fees, expanding beyond the existing flat-rate total override.
- Users can now select Flat Dollar Per Pallet ($) under the Fixed Rate option on accessorial fee controls (tariff markup page and customer accessorial screen).
- When selected, the bill amount automatically multiplies the per-pallet flat rate by the total pallet count of the shipment (e.g., Lift Gate Delivery billed at $60 per pallet).
Show Workflow Invoice Note on Invoice Document (Workflows)
- Added a system setting (Show Workflow Invoice Note on Invoice Document) that allows invoice notes entered during the AP Audit approval process to display directly on customer invoice documents.
New Static Limited Access Accessorials
- Updated existing accessorial codes to match new standardized system codes, replacing legacy identifiers.
- Selecting Limited Access Accessorials for TFWWI Carrier Quotes
Override Strict Pickup Dates - Staff
- Added a staff access permission toggle that allows authorized Admin and Manager roles to bypass/override the "Strict Pickup Dates" restriction when updating shipment statuses.
- The new permission setting only appears in staff profiles when Advanced Shipment Booking - Strict Pickup Dates is set to True. When disabled, the permission is hidden, and users can update pickup dates without receiving warnings.
- Users can bypass updating pickup dates in the past without triggering the restriction modal during status changes.
Calculate Max Cargo Liability in LCR
- Updated the LCR (Least Cost Routing) to calculate and display the carrier's total max cargo liability based on the shipment weight alongside the per-pound liability rate.
- The total and per-pound liability calculations are now visible in both the Staff and Customer logins.
Oracle (Workflows)
- Automated the delivery of payment receipts to Oracle for pre-paid workflow upon successful receipt of the AR response.
- Automatically triggers a payment receipt to Oracle once a successful AR response is received, marking the corresponding invoice as paid.
- Mapped the custom reference AuthCode (passed via createShipment) to serve as the Receipt ID / Receipt Number when sending payment receipts to Oracle.
Partner Integrations
RMIS
- Added a new RMIS Config page (/pages/admintools/rmisconfig) under Admin Tools, styled similarly to the existing Highway Config and My Carrier Portal Config pages.
- Enables clients to select up to 29 selectable fields to sync directly from RMIS to the TMS, including:
- General Information: Carrier Name, MC/DOT/SCAC/EIN, Website, Carrier Contacts, Factor, Company Certifications.
- Insurance Information: Cargo, General Liability, Auto, and Workers' Comp providers, policies, dates, and coverage amounts.
- Safety & Equipment Information: Safety Ratings, Trailers, and Equipment types.
Triumph Rate Intelligence
- Added HOTSHOT as a supported equipment type for the Triumph Rate Intelligence API integration.
- Updated the equipment mapping dropdown under Admin Tools → Equipment Types → Triumph Rate Intelligence to include HOTSHOT (Hotshot) as a selectable mapping code option.
Shiplify
- Updated Shiplify API lookups during load creation and rating to retry rejected requests after a short delay and throttle outgoing concurrent requests.
- Added automated load notes when a Shiplify check fails or times out, ensuring operations teams are notified if accessorials (e.g., Lift Gate, Limited Access) were not automatically checked.
- Hovering over the Shiplify shipment profile information or dropdown will no longer display details or an empty "no location/accessorial type" state until Shiplify has been triggered by an initial click.
- Once Shiplify is clicked and triggered, hovering functions as expected to show relevant details or state status.
Highway
- Enhanced the Highway integration onboarding logic to automatically set the primary dispatch contact as the carrier's Primary Contact upon carrier profile creation in the TMS.
- Incoming Highway dispatch contacts are now automatically designated as the Primary Contact during onboarding.
- Uses the designated dispatch_contact or falls back to the first line_item_contact marked as dispatch.
- Preserves existing active Primary Contacts if one already exists on the carrier profile.
- Updates existing contact roles if an exact match is found.
Highway - Secure Rate Con
- Integrated Highway's Secure Rate Confirmation API to allow automated and manual secure rate con delivery directly to carriers.
- Added the Use Secure Rate Con setting under Highway Configuration in Partner Integrations:
- Options: No (default) and Yes.
- Dynamic Display: The setting appears only when Use Load Lock is set to Yes.
- Dependency Enforcement: Enabling Use Secure Rate Con automatically locks Use Load Lock to Yes.
- Added interactive controls on the Shipment Profile for managing secure rate confirmations:
- Send Secure Rate Con / Cancel Rate Con actions with real-time status updates (Delivered, Viewed, Downloaded, Terms Accepted, Cancelled, Rejected, Expired).
- Automatic webhook endpoint (/api/v1/highway/webhook/rate-con) to receive and reflect rate confirmation status updates seamlessly.
- Highway Secure Rate Confirmation
Carrier Integrations
Mountain Movers
- Integrated Mountain Movers LTL Freight as an available carrier in BrokerWare, expanding rating and automated logistics capabilities.
- Carrier Support: Added Mountain Movers to the carrier integration list with full support for: - Rating & Quote Generation - E-Dispatching - Tracking & Tracing - Electronic Document Retrieval
- To activate, obtain the clientID and clientSecret from Bill Pogue (billp@mountainmoverstl.com).
UPS Parcel Integration
- Added integration support for UPS Parcel rating within the carrier integration management platform.
- Updated carrier integration settings to exclusively enable Rating functionality for UPS Parcel, hiding non-applicable API options (Dispatching, Tracking, and Electronic Documents).
Spee-Dee
- Updated LTL integration with Spee-Dee to send PALLET_HZ (instead of PALLET) for hazardous material items to align with Spee-Dee's ID validation checks.
TForce Worldwide
- Mapped newly added and updated static accessorials to the TFWW carrier integration, including specific site types (e.g., Bank, Cemetery, Hospital, USPS, Utility, Winery/Brewery/Distillery, etc).
- Selecting Limited Access Accessorials for TFWWI Carrier Quotes
Bug Fixes
Pilot Freight
- Resolved an issue where Pilot shipments reverted to or remained in Dispatched status after arriving at the carrier terminal. Terminal arrival updates now properly set and maintain the load status as In Transit.
Rate Confirmation Emails
- Resolved an issue where rate confirmation emails generated during dispatch were CCing unintended carrier contacts from previous operations due to stale email list accumulation. The email list now properly resets when generating documents.
Oracle
- Resolved a bug causing payment receipts to sync to Oracle twice when an immediate payment completion sync and the scheduled background sync ran simultaneously.
Custom Tariff Markup
- Fixed an issue where custom markup tariffs failed to evaluate customer-level accessorial markups when no accessorial charges were explicitly defined at the tariff level.
- Customer-level accessorial charges now display as distinct billed line items in the rate engine breakdown alongside applied tariff markups.
EDI - Missing Delivery Window Failure
- Implemented a fallback mechanism that uses the last stop date/time when a delivery window is unpopulated to the last stop date/time when a delivery window is unpopulated, ensuring dispatch isn't blocked and EDIs transmit successfully.
Report Builder
- Fixed an issue in Report Builder where non-admin users were unable to delete custom reports they had created in production.
- Updated permission checks so non-admin staff users can successfully delete reports they authored, while main staff admins maintain the ability to delete any report.
- Fixed an issue where document hyperlinks in scheduled report Excel exports lacked the base URL (showing relative paths instead of full public URLs). Background report generation jobs now correctly utilize schedule.HostUrl to populate the complete base URL for document hyperlinks.
Reconsignment Loads
- Resolved an issue where inbound EDI and API updates carrying the original shipment's PRO number were overwriting manually updated Re-Consignment PRO numbers. The system now retains existing PRO assignments on re-consignment shipments during inbound updates.
Labels 5168
- Recentered default two-up label layout by adjusting margins to inch units for accurate side-by-side positioning on Avery 5168 labels.
AP Audit (Workflows)
- Fixed an issue where the AP Audit page displayed the Division ID instead of the Sales Rep name when assigned. Updated the AP Audit view and accounting approval logic to properly map and display the assigned Sales Rep name from the load commission data.
Historical Fuel Re-Rate
- Updated the customer fuel schedule calculation on the AP Audit re-rating screen. When "Run rates by pickup date" is enabled, fuel surcharges (FSC) for both customer and carrier cost sides will automatically calculate based on the historical fuel schedule for the shipment's pickup date rather than the current date.
EDI 210 Inbound
- Inbound EDI 210 files were failing with an Internal Server Error and moving to the Errors folder when consignee data (or consignee address information) was missing from the file. Added null guards across inbound processing routes to safely handle missing or empty consignee and shipper address fields without crashing. Improved error handling and logging to surface specific error messages instead of throwing unhandled exceptions.
Linear Feet - Stackable
- Fixed an issue in LTL shipments where stackable commodities with "Use Stacked Calculation" enabled were incorrectly calculating. Linear feet auto-calculation now accurately evaluates stacked dimensions across rate engines and full-form entry.
BOL Document
- Resolved an HTTP 500 error occurring when generating Bill of Lading (BOL) PDFs for loads containing accessorials that do not match the assigned BOL carrier.
Shiplify
- Fixed an issue where address validation skipped Shiplify checks for cities with names 4 characters or shorter. The character-length restriction has been removed from both the API check and booking screen, ensuring accessorials (such as Limited Access and Lift Gate) are properly detected for all valid city names.
OnTime Delivery Report
- Resolved an issue where the OnTime Report failed to load data and remained stuck loading. Fixed date range defaults and corrected client-side grid filtering logic so reporting data, summary totals, and grid controls load as expected.
AR Approvals
- Resolved an issue where AR Ops Managers experienced "No Access" on approval queues following workflow resume caused by a blank CurrentStep data mapping. Fixed the in-flight status and approval permissions directly from WorkflowApproval metadata rather than clobbering existing statuses. Updated permission checks so previously stuck approval items display properly and can be processed.
Missing Rate Quote Numbers
- Resolved an issue where API quote requests failed to return quote numbers for successful responses. Quote numbers are now properly captured and visible within the application for supported API quote flows to ensure rate traceability.
