BrokerWare Release Notes 10/01/2026
New Features & Enhancements
AP Audit (Workflows)
- The AP Audit Excel export has been updated to include dedicated Dispute, Shipping, and Status columns.
- Updated the Secondary Invoice review process to surface all carrier-submitted document links (e.g., BOLs, Inspection Reports) directly on the initial modal screen, eliminating the need to navigate to subsequent screens to access load documents for invoice reconciliation.
- Updated the AP Audit page to automatically filter data based on the logged-in user. Sales Representatives will now only see AP Audit records and approval invoices associated with their assigned customers, ensuring data privacy and restricted access compared to full admin/staff views.
- Added support for displaying Dispute Notes across key areas in the application, including Report Builder and AP Audit views.
- Updated the AP Audit grid layout saving feature to include manually typed search filters above grid columns. When users save their custom view on the AP Audit screen, any manually entered column search criteria will now persist alongside grid column order and layout changes upon navigating away and returning to the page.
AP Audit - Pay as Billed (Workflows)
- Users can now approve carrier invoices currently marked as "In Dispute" during the AP Audit/approval workflow, specifically when selecting the Pay As Billed option.
- Approving or paying an invoice as billed automatically updates the associated dispute record:
- Status: Set to Dispute Resolved
- Resolution Reason/Note: Set to Paid as billed
- Approving or paying an invoice as billed automatically updates the associated dispute record:
AP Audit - Approved Tab (Workflows)
- Added a dedicated Approved tab to the top of the AP Audit screen to view approval history and review all previously approved invoices.
- Opening AP invoice details from the Approved tab displays the screen in read-only mode with action buttons disabled/removed.
- Included manual date filtering on the Approved tab to optimize page performance and prevent automatic data loading upon page load.
- Added the ability to export filtered Approved tab results to Excel, including all grid headers and custom column configurations.
Division Branding
- Added the ability for sub-divisions to override Master Division branding with custom system and document logos.
- Introduced a "Division Specific Logo in System and Documents" toggle on the Edit Division screen (restricted to sub-divisions). Enabling this setting reveals options to upload custom System and Document logos.
- Custom division logos apply to staff and customers assigned to that division or lower.
- Customer profile logos retain top priority on document generation; if no customer logo is uploaded, the system automatically falls back to the sub-division logo (or the Master Division branding if disabled/unconfigured).
- Division Specific Logos and Branding
Customer Email Notifications
- Customer preference email notifications now include a "View Tracking: Click Here to Track Shipment" link directly below the "View Website" link (or beneath "Load" if no website link exists).
- Clicking the tracking link navigates directly to the public tracking page pre-filtered for that specific shipment's load number.
- Updated the Pickup Confirmed email notification to use this unique load tracking link instead of the generic tracking URL.
EDI 204 Inbound - Default BOL to Load Number
- Added a configuration option to automatically set the Bill of Lading (BOL) number to the System Load ID on inbound EDI 204 transactions when no BOL number is explicitly provided in the EDI file.
- Configurable at the Customer, Carrier, and Global setup levels, ensuring customer/carrier-specific setups override the global default.
- Prevents missing BOL values on inbound 204 loads, ensuring carriers receive proper documentation for shipment tracking.
- In the EDI setup, use "Default BOL to Load # when Inbound 204 does not provide a BOL."
Critical Note Column on Dashboard Tiles
- Added a new Critical Note column across all dashboard status tiles (Delivered, In Transit, Confirm Pickups, Booked Covered, Booked Not Covered, Quotes) as well as Velocity View.
- Integrated Critical Note into Tile Configuration and Velocity View Manage Columns, allowing users to reorder, filter, and customize column visibility per preference.
Ignore Empty Commodity Lines
- Added a new Customer Preference setting called "Ignore Empty Commodity Lines" that automatically detects and ignores blank or empty commodity line items in the Full Form when requesting rates. Users no longer need to manually delete blank commodity rows before running rates, and validation for required fields on empty lines will be bypassed when this setting is enabled.
Report Builder
- Added a "Hide from Report" checkbox next to each column entry in the Report Builder edit interface for all Shipment Type Reports.
- Hidden columns are omitted from generated report tables, views, exports (PDF, CSV, Excel), and scheduled/emailed reports while keeping their underlying filtering and sorting logic active.
- Hidden columns are omitted across both staff and customer views and exports, ensuring sensitive or redundant fields (such as internal costs or customer names used solely for filtering) are not exposed externally.
- Checking "Hide from Report" automatically unchecks and disables the "Modifiable" option. Hidden columns remain configurable only on the Report Builder setup/edit page for authorized staff members.
Accessorials List
- Added a text search filter to the Display column on the global Accessorials page, bringing consistent filter capabilities as seen in customer and carrier profile setups.
- Updated the Export to Excel functionality to ensure exported spreadsheets strictly reflect the filtered view.
Carrier PRO Number Blocks
- Users can now exclude specific customers from receiving pre-filled PRO numbers generated by shared carrier PRO number blocks. Previously, a carrier PRO block applied to all customers under an account, which created confusion at pickup when a placeholder number was populated for carriers that issue their own tracking/reference numbers later in the process.
- Exclude specific customers directly from the existing Carrier PRO Number management screen without affecting other customers on the account.
- For excluded customers, the PRO number field will remain blank during rate selection and on the BOL until the carrier explicitly provides a reference number upon dispatch.
- Customer exclusions can be added or removed instantly from the UI without requiring system redeployments. Non-excluded customers will continue to receive pre-filled PRO numbers from the carrier block as usual.
Multi-Stop Tariff Enhancement
- Added "Stop Count" to tariff service lane matching criteria. Users can define a specific range of stops (e.g., 6–8 stops) to trigger matching criteria automatically when "Enable Multi Stop" is active.
- Introduced a "Multi Stop Charges" modal on tariff service lanes. Allows configuring add-on charges based on address, city, state, region, or ZIP. Matching non-origin/destination stops dynamically add defined charges directly to the linehaul billed amount.
- Added support for exact "Address" criteria within Region settings, allowing rating engines to match lanes down to specific street addresses.
- Added a per-mile billing option for service lane accessorial charge types.
- Multi Stop Tariff Setup Extra Stop Charges
- Service Lane Stop Count Matching Criteria
- Exact Address Matching for Regions
Convert Currency on Reports
- Added support for multi-currency conversion across sales, profitability, and commission reports, as well as line-item billing and accessorial cost displays.
- This feature can be found under Tools > Currency Rate where users can set conversion rates for CAD and MXN.
- Added a Currency Rate Audit Log to track changes made by users.
- Currency Conversion on Reports Rate Management
Partner Integrations
Vooma
- Updated the Vooma webhook payload to include the Trucker Tools tracking link (TruckerToolsTrackingLink). When available, the load's tracking link is now automatically passed to Vooma upon shipment updates; for loads without tracking links, the field defaults to null.
Shippeo API Tracking
- Integrated with Shippeo to automatically transmit outbound tracking updates for registered loads of clients.
- Supports automated forwarding of GPS location positions and milestone tracking events captured from Carrier APIs, EDI 214 status messages, Macropoint, and Highway updates.
- Standard tracking milestones (such as pickup and delivery trip events) automatically map to Shippeo standard events and post updates to shipment public notes. GPS positions are forwarded without creating repetitive note logs.
Breakthrough Fuel API Integration
- BrokerWare now supports direct API integration with Breakthrough Fuel to dynamically price fuel on truckload shipments based on real-time market data along the route.
- Qualifying truckload shipments automatically send load details to Breakthrough upon booking, dispatch, re-rating, or cancellation.
- Returned fuel calculations automatically update both carrier cost and customer billing with identical amounts, bypassing standard DOE fuel schedules.
- Enablement is controlled per customer via partner integration settings and linked tariff fuel schedules without requiring global code changes.
- Breakthrough Fuel Integration
Carrier Integrations
R&L Carriers
- Added the ShipperReferenceNumber field to the PickupRequest object for R+L Carriers E-Dispatching. This allows users to pass custom shipper reference numbers during Bill of Lading creation and associated Pickup Requests, improving shipment tracking and customer reference capability.
- Added support for a Dimensions array within E-Dispatching requests -> Destinations. Customers can now supply detailed itemized dimensions (Units, Width, Height, Length) per destination to improve equipment planning and handling.
- Added a top-level QuoteNumber field to PickupRequest to associate pickup requests directly with previously generated rate quotes.
CEVA Logistics
- Introduced a new drop-down option in the CEVA carrier configuration allowing selection between Legacy API (default) and New API.
- Upgraded to use CEVA’s LLSCMRateQuoteAPI (CEVA Quick Quote) with full charge breakdowns for freight, fuel, and accessorials.
Bug Fixes
RLX (Onward Delivery)
- The RLX weight calculation issue occurred because BrokerWare was sending the total weight of a commodity line as the per-piece weight in RLX rating requests. Since RLX calculates total load weight by multiplying unit weight by piece quantity, multi-piece shipments were being rated at an inflated total weight. Rating requests now calculate and send individual unit weight, aligning rating logic with dispatch/booking logic.
Mainfreight
- Resolved an issue where Mainfreight rate requests were failing with a 400 Bad Request ("Unable to parse response" / "Invalid Field: The Account Code has not been setup in the profile") for specific carrier accounts.
FedEx Freight
- Updated the document retrieval logic to automatically re-pull and replace incomplete FedEx e-invoices with the complete, updated versions once available. Included validation to ensure existing full invoice documents are preserved without unnecessary re-uploads.
FreshX
- Fixed an issue in the FreshX carrier integration where AP payables and bill-to records were incorrectly mapped to FreshX (the quote provider) rather than the underlying carrier handling the load. AP billing, receive payable workflows, and carrier invoicing now correctly assign and route directly to the fulfilling carrier.
SEKO
- Fixed an issue where pickup, delivery, ready, and close times sent during SEKO dispatch were shifting due to timezone handling. Pickup windows are now accurately transmitted in the shipper’s local time.
Rude Transportation
- Resolved an issue where adding or editing a hazardous commodity post-creation failed to auto-populate the hazardous materials fee for Rude Transportation. Updated accessorial mapping so that the charge consistently populates as Hazardous Materials Charge during both load creation and post-creation commodity edits.
Estes Express
- Fixed an issue where Limited Access Pickup and Limited Access Delivery accessorials were not being included in rate requests sent to Estes. Accessorial codes (LTDAP and LTDAD) are now properly mapped and passed in API requests, ensuring accurate quote calculations and carrier charge estimations.
Dispute Cause Types
- Fixed an issue where new items required a full page refresh to be edited or disabled.
- Resolved sorting logic so newly added dispute cause types immediately sort alphabetically without requiring a page reload.
Invoice Printing
- Fixed a grid refresh issue where removing invoices from the print queue (including via API views) left stale rows visible until a manual refresh. The grid now automatically updates to match the current queue count.
Pay Invoices
- Corrected calculation logic so the grand totals at the bottom of the page dynamically update to accurately reflect filtered search results rather than showing the unfiltered total.
Estimated Pickup & Delivery Windows
- Fixed an issue where signing a Rate Confirmation cleared the load's Estimated Pickup Window and Estimated Delivery Window (setting them to "Not Specified") upon transitioning to Dispatched status, causing downstream NFTP dispatch validation failures.
- Added/updated options to support copying appointment times during Mass Duplicate when On-Time reporting is enabled.
AP Audit (Workflows)
- Resolved an issue where modifying carrier quote details (such as commodity class) and rerating a primary invoice on the AP Audit screen caused unsaved changes to reset upon clicking Update Rates.
Falvey Insurance
- Resolved an issue on Commission Reports where Falvey Insurance was incorrectly displayed as the carrier on credit memos and rebills. Reports now accurately display the actual transport carrier regardless of attached insurance coverage.
Hub Group
- Resolved an issue with Hub Group bookings where same-day pickup times were being dropped and defaulting to midnight, causing bookings to fail with a validation error. The shipmentReadyTime format sent to Hub Group's Book API has been updated to ISO format (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss) to ensure pickup times are preserved accurately.
Full Form
- Fixed an issue where clicking "Run Rates" on the shipment Full Form gave no feedback when required or invalid fields were present. The form now properly alerts users to missing or invalid inputs and highlights the specific fields requiring attention.
Parade
- Fixed an issue where moving a shipment into Quoted status or making updates to a shipment in Booked Covered status caused unintended re-posts to Parade. Shipments will now strictly follow configured posting rules, only re-posting to Parade when transitioned to Booked Not Covered without an assigned carrier.
EDI 210
- Resolved an issue where inbound EDI 210 invoice amounts differed from carrier invoice totals in Connect, leading to incorrect over/underpayments. Updated EDI 210 processing so that inbound carrier invoice amounts are properly populated in the AP Audit screen. Ensures that upon approval (or auto-approval), shipment costs and carrier payables are accurately updated to match the EDI cost basis—accounting for proper discount calculations across variance rules.
CSR (Workflows)
- Resolved an unhandled null reference error that occurred when attempting to revise a shipping location for customers using master billing. CSR teams can now successfully submit and process shipping location revisions without encountering system errors during account updates.
Global Division API Keys
- Resolved an issue where API credentials generated at the Global / Top-Division level only retrieved data for the root division, excluding records from descendant child/sub-divisions. Updated API authentication and query filtering logic to evaluate the account hierarchy tree. Global division API keys now return data originating across all associated child divisions for supported endpoints (such as carriers, customer contacts, and loads).
Multi-Stop BOLs
- Added missing download controls for multi-stop Bill of Lading (BOL) documents in the shipment profile Documents panel.
- Fixed weight calculations on multi-stop BOLs so individual child BOLs now display the total weight of their assigned commodities only, rather than the full shipment weight.
External Configuration Information
- Fixed an issue where "External Configure Information" failed to display or load when reopening the Edit popups in Division Management and Carrier Information (Carrier Profile) without refreshing the browser page. Component state and field bindings now reliably persist and populate on subsequent modal views.
