BrokerWare System Updates

System Updates

BrokerWare Release Notes 10/22/2026

New Features & Enhancements

Capture Original Costs for Disputes

  • Enhanced the Dispute Management workflow to capture, preserve, and display original expected cost values when a load enters dispute status. This allows teams to compare original carrier costs against working/adjusted costs side-by-side.
    • Expected Values Capture: Automatically snapshots original commodity and accessorial cost line items at the moment a load enters Dispute status. Stored values remain unchanged throughout the dispute lifecycle.
    • Side-by-Side UI Comparison: Added a read-only, grayed-out Original Cost section in Dispute Log → Modify Commodities → Modify, directly adjacent to editable current costs for clear financial visibility.
    • Automated Audit Load Note: Automatically generates a permanent audit load note upon dispute creation detailing all captured original cost lines (Linehaul, Fuel Surcharge, Accessorials, etc.).
    • Data Integrity & Traceability: Preserves historical cost baselines to streamline invoice variance checks, accounting reconciliations, and dispute audits without impacting existing workflows.
  • This is controlled by a global default called "Capture Original Costs for Disputes".

Automated Accounting Notifications for Load Disputes

  • Automated email notifications have been introduced to inform Accounting whenever a load enters or exits the dispute lifecycle. These notifications provide real-time visibility to ensure timely payment holds and releases.
    • Automated Dispute Creation Email: Automatically generates an email notifying Accounting to hold payments when a dispute is created on a load (Load x - Dispute Created; Hold Payments for this Load).
    • Automated Dispute Resolution Email: Automatically sends a notification to Accounting to release payments once a dispute is resolved, rejected, or canceled (Load x - Dispute Resolved; Release Payments for this Load).
    • Division-Level Recipient Configuration: Added a new Dispute Notification Email Recipients field at the Division level to manage distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and multiple email addresses.

Bug Fixes

Double D Express

  • Resolved an issue where excessive length accessorial charges were not automatically applied during rating. The system now correctly detects piece dimensions and applies the appropriate overlength charge code (OVER8, OVRLNGTH, OVER16, OVER20) to qualifying shipments.
  • Resolved an issue where the Customer List view displayed outdated Sales Representative information while the Customer Profile correctly showed the updated Sales Rep.
  • Updated the rating logic to extract line-item dimensions and append the wlength[n], wwidth[n], and wheight[n] parameters to the carrier API request string.

Roadrunner Freight

  • Fixed an issue where the negative discount (DIS) charge returned in the Roadrunner API response was excluded from the total carrier cost calculation. The calculation now properly subtracts the discount from the minimum charge, matching the carrier-reported net charge and eliminating carrier cost discrepancy errors.

Pitt Ohio

  • Resolved an issue where shipments were failing to pull Dimensions and Weight Certification documents (DIM type) from Pitt Ohio. Updated document type mapping (WeightsAndResearchCertificate to DimCertificate) to ensure all available dimension certificates automatically download and attach to shipment profiles in BrokerWare.

FedEx Freight

  • Fixed an issue where E-Dispatch requests for FedEx sent individual commodity lines as separate handling units when a load was set to Palletized. The request now correctly uses the overall pallet count as the total handling units (totalHandlingUnits) with aggregated weight when Palletized is enabled, while preserving individual commodity line items for non-palletized loads.

Report Builder

  • Resolved an issue in Report Builder where emailed Excel exports automatically appended a _1 suffix to standard column headers (such as Bill, Cost, and Provider).

QuickBooks Online

  • Resolved an issue where updates to a carrier's factoring company information were not syncing to QuickBooks Online (QBO) if the carrier profile was in a deactivated status within the TMS.

Lost Opportunity Report

  • Resolved an issue where the Lost Opportunity Reasons configuration page was inadvertently hidden from the Admin Tools sidebar navigation for clients with the On-Time Report setting disabled.

EDI 204 Cancel

  • Resolved an internal server error (500) that occurred when processing an inbound EDI 204 cancel request with purpose code 01 for an unmapped or nonexistent customer. Added a null check prior to querying shipments so the system now correctly logs and displays the expected error message: "Customer does not exist in the system".

TForce Freight

  • Resolved an issue where hazardous material (Hazmat) charges were defaulting to $0.00 during rate quotes for TForce Freight. Fixed logic in the API integration (RequestDeclaresHazmat) to ensure Hazmat accessorial charges (HAZD / HZMT) properly calculate and display in initial quotes when a load contains hazardous commodities or when the Hazmat accessorial is selected.

ShipMind

  • Removed references to the legacy $1 per-load transactional charge and clarified that ShipMind functionality is included in standard customer subscriptions.

XPO Logistics

  • Fixed an issue in XPO Logistics E-dispatch where pickup window request timestamps included incorrect timezone offsets, causing pickups to be scheduled at wrong times.

Advanced Required Fields

  • The Sales Order # field was added to the Customer Advanced Required Fields settings page, allowing administrators to toggle it on or off as a required field.

Address Book

  • Resolved an internal server error that occurred when attempting to delete saved customer addresses caused by shared address records.

Profitability Report

  • Historical load records created prior to the enablement of On Time reporting were excluded from the Admin Profitability Report when filtered by Pickup Date due to missing departure values. To resolve this, a fallback mechanism was implemented so pre–On Time loads are accurately included in Customer Profitability reporting within the selected date range.

Loadsure Insurance

  • Corrected data mapping and updated frontend components to ensure shipper, recipient, and stop address fields pass correctly formatted string values in the insurance API payload.

Trucker Tools

  • Updated the tracking options on shipment profiles so that the Trucker Tools - Post LoadTrack card properly displays for RF TL and Partial mode shipments when a primary carrier is assigned and Trucker Tools authentication is active.
